Urgent/Same Day Appointments
Our physicians recognize that unanticipated health care needs may arise. If you are experiencing a sore throat, the flu, aches and pains, any non-life threatening medical problem, just call our office and ask to speak to a staff nurse. She will assist you in scheduling a same day appointment with your personal physician. At times, your physician may not be available, but at Ottawa Regional Medical Center a physician is always on call and a staff nurse can assist you in scheduling an appointment with another medical provider in the office.
Same day (work in) appointments are scheduled with enough time for that issue only and all other issues will need to be addressed at a separate scheduled appointment. We ask that you please respect these time allocations so as to minimize everyone’s wait and accommodate those with urgent matters.
A staff nurse can also assist you when advice from your physician is all that you need. Working with your physician she can give you appropriate measures to use when care and observation at home is the appropriate course of action.
A call to the office is all that is necessary to provide the highest quality health care for the unpredicted needs of our patients.
